ART:
At my sight, I offer examples of my work, which include pencil drawings, paintings and a variety of illustrations. SEWING:
In my sewing section, you can view examples of my altered and remodeled clothing. I offer alterations, remodels and mending from my home, or on site.
While I am able to alter, mend and remodel clothing, my area of specialty is in making clothing modest. It is often difficult to find modest clothing to wear these days. This is where I wish to assist women with altering or modifying their clothing to bring it to a level of modesty that they can be comfortable and happy with. These alterations may be as simple as adding some material to a neckline, taking a loose neckline in, lengthening a skirt or lengthening a top.

I believe that visual art is a universal language used to express ideas, feelings and emotions that may not be able to be put into words. Visual art, creating or viewing, has the ability to bring to light how one person sees or feels things, which in turn can create connections with others. It can also quite simply just make this world a more beautiful place to live!

My subject matter includes country life, Biblical and spiritual material, people, love and relationships, the mind and heart, words from the English vocabulary and steppingstones in life.

History
Ever since I can remember, I recall having spent hours and hours drawing, designing and creating art. I'd enter every coloring and drawing contest I knew of. In high school, I took every visual art class available, as well as did block studies in art as a senior. After high school, I illustrated 5 books for a friend. I also enrolled
Ever since I can remember, I recall having spent hours and hours drawing, designing and creating art. I'd enter every coloring and drawing contest I knew of. In high school, I took every visual art class available, as well as did block studies in art as a senior. After high school, I illustrated 5 books for a friend. I also enrolled in a fine arts school to refine my skills, and was offered and took
several jobs on commission. I presently spend time creating art on a weekly basis.

Words, Phrases and Deeper
"Focus"
See in the round part of the binoculars the O and C. They help create
the word "focus".
"Realistic"
When we are realistic, we can reach up in hopes to meet our goal, which is what the star represents.
"Listen with the Ear of Your Heart"
May we not only hear with our ears, but listen with our hearts.
"Communicate"
The letters U-N-I in the center of the word, sound like "you-and-I". A heart appearing between the silhouettes of the man and woman's heads conversing, they reap the joys and benefits of using good communication, a joyful and harmonious relationship.
"Healing Balm"
This illustation shows a heart that has been bruised and broken. In the balm being excreted from the tube are the words, "I'm sorry". It shows how an apology can be like "healing balm" on the wound to help soothe and heal it.
"Transparent"
This illustration illuminates the word "transparent" painted on a stained glass window, which is also a transparent subject allowing light to pass through. In the center of the word is a white heart, symbolizing the highest degree of transparency, allowing all light to flood out with truth, softly as well as brilliantly, leaving nothing dark or hidden.
"Mother Not Maid"
This illustration uses subjects from a mother's life to create each letter in the caption, "Mother not Maid". It exemplifies the significant role of the mother, how she is a great contributor and nurturer of new life, how she should be respected as such, never to be looked down on as just a maid of sorts. Maybe, its a little too big, or, a little too small. Maybe its a skirt that needs a little more length, or pe
This is primarily directed towards women, but some of it does pertain to men. Do you own or have you ever found an article of clothing that you really like, but there's something that you don't like about it, so you pass on it? Maybe, its a little too big, or, a little too small. Maybe its a skirt that needs a little more length, or perhaps its a top that the neckline drops too low for your comfort. Or maybe you have a pair of jeans that you'd like to have in a little lighter color, or give them the "worn" look. The solution may be as simple as a little altering or remodeling, or some other creative solution to satisfy the wearer.

Starting out at about age 5, my Mom, (being my primary teacher), taught me how to sew a button onto a piece of material.
Around age 6, I made my first paper pattern, a heart for a heart pillow that I then sewed together. Picking up garments on garage sales at about age 13 is when I began alterations and clothing remodels.
From there I

From there I would buy raw material and also make brand new clothes from patterns.

I am also able to hem, fix, patch, or help with other simple clothing reconstruction and remodeling. Below you will see just a few examples of my work. Quality materials and a reasonable depth of skill in the sewing field to produce quality work, a passion for the specific field of modesty as well as fashion, design, personality and comfort are what I can offer.
